The best result of successful publicity efforts is for a reporter to request an interview. Yet, the prospect of being interviewed by the media can reduce the unprepared to a nervous wreck. This workshop will show you how to give a great interview by asking the right questions before the interview and by giving the right answers during it and by following up after. We’ll spend the first half of the workshop refining your key messages and preparing you for interviews for print, broadcast or online media and the last half of the workshop videotaping and critiquing each other’s interviews. You’ll learn how to deliver your key messages to any reporter in any medium and get the word out on your organization under any conditions. You’ll receive a DVD of your on-camera interviews after the workshop so you can continue to develop your interview skills long after the workshop.
